Ever since we were born (or well conceived I should say), we were meant to grow and never stop growing. Our little hands, feet, heart, and even brain. That’s what the Lord wants us to do: to continue to grow.
1 Peter 2:2-3
“Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow imto a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.”
It just took two little verses today – so much wisdom! How did you take it?
The Bible says it itself to keep on growing and to never stop having the urge to carry on with the Word. It is our responsibility for our spiritual health and maturity. Yes, Jesus is and always will be with us, but we still have a part to do also.
Newborn babies always cry out for milk for nourishment. Let’s learn from this. They’re hungry. They are willing to wake you up from a night’s rest for it. They often become the loudest creatures in the neighborhood because they want it so bad (hehe). Let our wants for God and his word be like this. We must crave it until we’re completely satisfied.
This is the goal. Progressing in godliness changes your thinking, habits, character, and relationships for the better.
Think about your struggles. We all have them! Your struggles help you grow. You learn what to do and what not to do, and the best/worst practices in overcoming a situation. Struggling with school? Find ways to help make things easier to understand. There’s always a way!
When I first started this faithful mission, I just had an urge to go into church one morning. I was ‘hungry’ for this knowledge!
Never be afraid to learn knew things. Learning doesn’t stop once you receive that diploma. Learning is a lifelong process. Gain wisdom. Never stop growing!
The Lord Jesus Christ is on our side. He is what we are looking for. Crave that knowledge.
