Happy New Year!
A new year means a new you, right? Yes that is true, but any day or even any minute is a new you so don’t just wait for the new year to make any changes.
Last year, I made a goal to start visiting small businesses a lot more. There’s so much out there! And hearing the stories from local owners are impressive. I shall continue this goal in 2018 and encourage all of you to do the same if you haven’t already.
I never really liked the term “resolution”. I’m not exactly why. Maybe because of its history of not lasting long throughout the year. It’s more of a short term thing. Goals seem to be more achievable and real. Let me know what you think about the terms resolution and goals 🙂
I have set goals for this year (of course) and they include the following:
- Expand my craft business – I love being creative and I’m ready to see where it could take me this year.
- Travel goals – I have several trips already planned (May and October) and I am determined to make both cash-only trips. Wish me luck! I may document the money journey on my YouTube channel.
- Be more truthful – Yes, honesty and being open was never a strong suit for me. I was always the girl who would hide my own feelings just to try to make things easier for everyone despite how I was feeling. I have learned a lot about myself the past few years, but I still have a long way to go.
- Grow in faith – Jesus Christ changed my life for the better. His words mean everything to me. I will forever be grateful.
I believe 2018 will be great year. It is up to us of how we make it. If we decide that it will be craptacular, then that’s what it will be then. We are in charge of our own mindset. Let’s make it a good one!
