Are Christians Perfect?

Hmm…let me think this through…no!

I don’t know any Christians who think they are perfect or close to. Just because we believe in God and His ways does not mean we’re perfect by any means. God is the only perfect one.

If we were perfect, then we wouldn’t be struggling in every day life. Finances, emotions, and every battle we often come across on a daily basis.

With all of my struggles and tests I still find myself going through now, I’m surprised that God hasn’t given up on me it, but I will forever be grateful. It makes me lean on Him even more which is exactly what we should be doing anyway.

So, no, I am far away from perfection. I am a work-in-progress constantly saying no to demons and trying my best to focus on the Lord. What helps me through the battles is “What Would Jesus Do” in these situations? This usually calms me down.

There is nothing on earth that is close to perfection.

9/11

As you all probably know by now, yesterday was one of the worst days we have ever experienced in this country. On this day, every single year, I always find myself right back in my 5th grade classroom hearing the news for the first time. I didn’t believe it at first. Then, they gathered us together with another class and we just stared at the news screen for the longest time that day. It was a horrible experience. I wish to never EVER experience that again.

Back to yesterday, I am honestly surprised by the amount of people who just treat it as just a regular day like nothing even happened. We can still live our lives, but just by taking a moment to remember goes a long way. I know several people who celebrated birthdays yesterday. That will happen anyway and they should celebrate the day of their birthday too, just like anyone else.

It just made me think about how far apart everyone is. How divided we really are. In times of these, we need to come together. That was a big part of history. Many parts of history that we should be learning from instead of avoiding. Yes, it was messy. But, we can change that by coming together! Unite! Become the UNITED States.

Honor. Respect. Remember.

Review – American Sign Language Dictionary

Product: American Sign Language Dictionary, Third Edition

Author: Martin L.A. Sternberg

asl dictionary

My honest opinions in one paragraph. This book is amazing! I got it as a referral for one of my American Sign Language courses from my teacher, who happens to be deaf. I believe it’s the perfect size. It can fit well in a backback or even a smaller tote. This book is also light weight so that’s a bonus, right? What I love most about it is possibly the paperback cover. OK, maybe not, but it’s still cool. Yes, I am easily entertained also.

The reasoning why I mentioned my teacher being deaf is because I learned that the deaf community often get annoyed when people learn to sign words incorrectly, so this book definitely helps to correct that. No worries here!

I absolutely love that this book is very easy to read which is a must when learning a new language.

Sadly, I don’t have this book anymore. I gave it to my sister who is watching children daily and the book will come in handy for them. She loves it also. Learning so much one book at a time!
